Even though I do buy Gabi health dog biscuits, from time to time I enjoy baking her cookies . This a fairly easy recipe that I adapted myself.
These biscuits are safe for humans (and I’ve tried them) but they are somewhat dry in texture and do not have enough salt and sugar to make a yummy cookie …. but dogs seem to LOVE them. They contain no meat or meat products and if, for whatever reason you wish to make them vegan, you can just leave out the egg (in this case you’ll have to store them in the fridge and they won’t stay crisp).
I’ve been asked on Gabi’s Facebook page to share the recipe, so here it is:
PEANUT-BUTTER GABI BISCUITS
½ cup Peanut-butter
½ cup Hot Water
2 cups Flour
½ cup Oats
1 tsp Baking Powder
- Pre-heat oven to 180°C.
- Mix peanut-butter and water thoroughly until smooth. Allow to cool.
- Beat in egg to PB mix.
- Add dry ingredients.
- Mix until well combined.
- Roll out dough and cut with cookie-cutter.
- Place on a grease baking tray
- Bake for 15 minutes.
- Allow biscuits to cool.
- Feed to dog.
